Jane Herr Desrosiers discovered another passion in acting.  She has performed in numerous theaters in New London and Windham counties.  Some of her favorite roles have been: Dame in the Hats the Musical, Clairee in Steel Magnolias, Mom in A Nice Family Gathering, and The Tupperware Lady in Sealed for Freshness.  Jane has also lent her voice to the radio adaptation of Pride and Prejudice portraying Mrs. Bennett.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jane Herr Desrosiers is thrilled to bring to her readers The Summer of Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, her newest release. Along with the Gone Fishing trilogy, Gone Fishing The Hook, The Line and The Sinker are in publication and ready for readers to enjoy.  The response that she has received from local book clubs to the Artisan Markets attendees has reinforced her passion for writing. Her sense of humor and her ability to turn the plot make this book series truly comfort food for your brain. Growing up in Canterbury, Connecticut and now residing in Baltic, Connecticut, Jane has blended the people who have touched her life into the mosaic of the souls of her down-home characters. Jane's collection of short stories and poems will give readers more insight to those characters and her unique observation of life. She enjoys life with her husband Eddy and their family and is proud of her Polish and Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. 

Justice of the Peace

Jane Herr Desrosiers considers it a privilege when she has been selected to officiate at weddings.  “It is such a wonderful feeling when I look into the eyes of the couple as they take their vows.”  She has the authority to perform weddings anywhere in the state of Connecticut.  Sample vows are available upon request, by emailing at janedesrosiers51@gmail.com
